Trent Russell is an engineering, quality assurance and nuclear power professional with experience in auditing, technical writing and regulatory standards and adherence in high-risk, high-consequence environments. As Mechanical Lead at Ameren Missouri's Callaway Energy Center in Fulton, Missouri, Trent was involved in the nuclear plant's technical operations and system interfaces and helped lead the development and review of their 20-year License Renewal Application. In 2009 he joined the Boone County Fire Protection District (BCFPD) as a volunteer firefighter. Trent is listed on the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, the Incident Command System and is certified in the National Fire Protection Association's Hazardous Material Awareness and Operations training.

- Supports the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Goddard Space Flight Center’s (GSFC) Supplier Assessment Program and the Center’s Quality Management System in process reviews, risk management, supplier assessments and other improvements.
- Developed metrics and compiled data for all NASA Center Quality Audit, Assessment, and Review and Institutional/Facility/Operational (IFO) Safety in an effort to evaluate and improve Center performance as well as track and trend potential systemic issues across the Agency.
- Categorized NASA safety audit findings in support of trending and monitoring NASA center health status and have provided input to GSFC in support of metric analysis.
- Performed analysis on NASA Quality Assurance and Safety audit findings with regards to requirements in the areas of Safety and Mission Assurance, Quality Assurance programs, parts, software assurance, Pressure Vessel and Pressurized Systems, Mishaps and Close Calls, OSHA, Facility System safety, Lifting Devices and Equipment, Fire Protection and explosives.

Deep sea exploration industry
- Developed Certification Survey Plans for Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) to assist the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) in their certification process of the ALVIN Deep Submergence Vehicle.
- Performed on-site quality assurance audits of material and data records for Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) and WHOI.
- Provided technical review and document consultation in support of WHOI’s NAVSEA system certification in the areas of Fabrication and Process Control, Material Control, Qualifications, Test Performance and Inspection, Design and Configuration Management and Related Maintenance and Repairs.
- Provided input into the WHOI corrective action program as part of the NAVSEA certification process.

Level Two Engineer – License Renewal Mechanical Lead
Supervised and observed critical roles during refueling outage, coordinated plant equipment out-of-service outages and developed and implemented troubleshooting plans for emergent equipment issues. Performed multiple system “walkdowns” to ensure the reliability of plant equipment and both trained-up personnel for and participated in NRC audits related to Callaway's License Renewal Application. Developed and implement aging management programs to ensure the long-term integrity and reliability of safety-related plant equipment.
